New pill tested to slow diabetic kidney disease
NCT ID NCT05718375
Summary
This study tested whether a new drug called CU01-1001 could help control kidney damage in people with type 2 diabetes. For 24 weeks, 240 participants with early signs of kidney problems took either the drug or a placebo pill, while continuing their standard diabetes and blood pressure medications. The main goal was to see if the drug could safely reduce the amount of protein leaking into their urine, a key sign of kidney damage.
