New hope for kids on dialysis: Twice-Daily fluid exchange may ease strain

NCT ID NCT07168343

Summary

This study aims to see if giving children on long-term kidney dialysis two special fluid exchanges per day, instead of one, helps their bodies remove excess fluid and control blood pressure better. It will involve about 10 children aged 5-18 who are on peritoneal dialysis and have high blood pressure. Researchers will compare the two approaches to find which one works best for managing fluid levels.
