Major study questions need for full kidney removal in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07077447

Summary

This study aims to gather real-world data on how a rare cancer of the kidney's drainage system is treated across Europe. It will follow 2,500 patients for up to 10 years to see if a surgery that saves the kidney is as safe and effective as the standard surgery that removes the entire kidney and ureter. Researchers will track survival, cancer recurrence, kidney function, and quality of life to help guide future treatment decisions.
