New scan aims to spot spreading kidney cancer
NCT ID NCT07084909
Summary
This study aimed to test a new type of imaging scan (piflufolastat F 18 PET/CT) to see if it could accurately find cancer that had spread from the kidney. It planned to enroll adults with clear cell kidney cancer who were suspected of having or were at high risk for the cancer spreading. The main goal was to see if this scan could help doctors better plan a patient's treatment, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
