First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a new drug called KH001 to see if it can help teeth regrow damaged dentin (the layer under enamel) caused by cavities. Twelve adults with a wisdom tooth cavity received the treatment. Researchers then checked the teeth for new dentin growth and monitored safety. The goal is to find a way to repair teeth naturally instead of using fillings.
