Trial tests common pain drug for tiniest patients

NCT ID NCT01667120

Summary

This study aimed to see if a pain medication called ketorolac is safe and effective for newborns (1 week to 3 months old) after abdominal surgery. It planned to compare ketorolac against a placebo to check for bleeding risks and see if it could reduce the need for stronger narcotic painkillers. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
