First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether drinking a ketone supplement can increase muscle protein synthesis (muscle building) after resistance exercise in 48 healthy young adults. Participants received either a ketone drink, whey protein, both, or a placebo. The goal was to see if ketones alone or with protein could boost muscle repair more than protein alone.
