Fungal cream challenges acne standard in new trial

NCT ID NCT07237763

Summary

This study is testing whether a common antifungal cream (ketoconazole) works as well as a standard acne retinoid cream (adapalene) for treating mild acne. Fifty-two patients with mild acne will use one of the creams for 12 weeks. Researchers want to see if the antifungal cream is a good alternative that might cause fewer side effects and be easier for people to use consistently.
