Fungal-Fighting cream tested as new acne treatment

NCT ID NCT07237763

Summary

This study is testing whether a cream containing ketoconazole, an antifungal medication, works as well as a standard retinoid cream (adapalene) for treating mild acne. Fifty-two participants with mild acne will use one of the creams for 12 weeks. Researchers will compare how well each cream reduces acne and its side effects to see if ketoconazole could be a gentler alternative.
