First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving ketamine through a vein along with spinal anesthesia can make numbness last longer in people aged 65 and older having leg surgery. About 61 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either ketamine plus spinal anesthesia or spinal anesthesia alone. The goal is to see if the combination provides better and longer pain relief during and after the procedure.
