First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether having children gargle with a ketamine solution just before tonsillectomy surgery could reduce their pain afterward. 420 children aged 4 to 12 years participated. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost approach could be a safe way to manage pain and reduce the need for stronger painkillers.
