Fermented milk drink tested to speed up broken bone recovery

NCT ID NCT07166458

Summary

This study tested whether a fermented milk drink called kefir could help broken bones heal faster. Researchers gave kefir peptides to some postmenopausal women with osteoporosis who had recent arm fractures, while others received standard care alone. They wanted to see if the natural compounds in kefir could improve bone repair and reduce recovery time.
