Summary

This study looks at whether a program called KEEP Connecting Kin (KEEP-CK) helps relatives or close family friends who are raising children outside of the formal foster care system. About 192 caregivers in Oregon will be randomly assigned to receive the program right away or after a wait. The program includes in-home parenting coaching and peer support. Researchers will measure changes in children's behavior, caregiver stress, and use of services over 10 months.
