Spinal injection trial offers hope for kids with devastating genetic seizures

NCT ID NCT07227857

Summary

This is the first study in humans of an experimental drug called S230815 for children with a severe form of epilepsy caused by a specific genetic change (KCNT1). Researchers will give the drug via spinal injection to 20 children aged 2-12 to check if it is safe and how the body processes it. The main goal is to see if the treatment is well-tolerated, while also measuring if it helps reduce the number of seizures.
