Experimental eye drops aim to heal damaged corneas

Summary
This study is testing a new eye drop called KB801 for people with a specific eye condition called neurotrophic keratitis, which causes slow-healing wounds on the cornea. The goal is to see if the drops are safe and if they can help heal these corneal wounds better than a placebo. About 60 participants will use the drops daily for 8 weeks and be followed for about a year.
