Summary
This study tested three ways of holding a baby skin-to-skin (kangaroo care) during a routine heel prick blood test. 63 full-term newborns were placed in classic, side, or reverse kangaroo positions to see which best reduced pain and crying. Researchers measured pain scores, heart rate, oxygen levels, and how long the baby cried. The goal is to find the most comforting position for this common procedure.
