Parent's embrace tested to soothe babies on breathing machines

NCT ID NCT07428408

Summary

This study aims to see if placing a newborn in a special side-lying position on a parent's chest, called the side kangaroo position, improves comfort and stabilizes vital signs like heart rate and breathing. It will involve 92 premature babies in intensive care who are receiving non-invasive breathing support. Researchers will compare babies placed in this position to those receiving standard care to measure differences in comfort and physical well-being.
