First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how kangaroo mother care (skin-to-skin contact) affects energy use in preterm babies born at 32-36 weeks. Researchers will measure urine markers of energy and stress, along with heart rate, breathing, and temperature. The goal is to understand if this simple, gentle care method helps babies use energy better and reduces stress for both baby and mother.
