Mother's touch and voice may soothe and nourish premature infants

NCT ID NCT07045402

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of skin-to-skin contact (kangaroo care) and a mother's voice can help premature babies. Researchers want to see if this approach makes the infants more comfortable, helps them grow, and allows them to switch from tube feeding to feeding by mouth faster. The study will compare babies receiving this special care to babies receiving standard positioning care in their incubators.
