Can a simple lesson in cuddling strengthen the Mother-Baby bond?
NCT ID NCT06953817
Summary
This study looked at whether teaching first-time mothers about 'kangaroo care' (skin-to-skin contact) during their last weeks of pregnancy would help them bond better with their newborn and make both mom and baby more comfortable after birth. Researchers taught 40 healthy, first-time pregnant women about the practice and then checked in after delivery to see if they used it and how it affected them. The goal was to gather information to see if this type of education should be offered more widely.
