Summary
This early-phase trial tests whether an oral drug called Kamuvudine-9 (K9) is safe and can improve vision in people with diabetic macular edema (DME), a common cause of vision loss in diabetes. Ten adults with diabetes and DME will receive either K9 or a placebo pill. The study checks for side effects and measures changes in eyesight and eye structure over time.
