First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests an oral drug called Kamuvudine-9 (K9) in 10 adults with diabetic macular edema, a condition where fluid builds up in the eye and blurs vision. The goal is to see if K9 is safe and if it can improve eyesight better than a placebo. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either K9 or a dummy pill, and their vision and eye health will be monitored over time.
