Berry boost: juçara may soothe sore muscles

NCT ID NCT07584460

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a supplement made from Juçara, a berry rich in antioxidants, can help muscles recover after intense exercise. Twenty-four healthy, active men took either the supplement or a placebo for a week, then did 100 maximal jumps to cause temporary muscle damage. Researchers measured jump height, muscle soreness, and muscle quality over the next 72 hours. The goal was to see if Juçara could reduce soreness and speed up strength recovery.
