New psoriasis drug shows promise in large trial

Summary
This Phase 3 trial tested a new drug called JS005 in 747 adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. JS005 is an antibody that blocks IL-17A, a protein that drives inflammation in psoriasis. The study compared JS005 to a placebo to see if it could improve skin clearance, measured by at least a 90% reduction in the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI 90) and a clear or almost clear skin assessment (sPGA 0/1) at 12 weeks.
