New hope for tough blood cancers: first human trial launches

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new drug, JNJ-89853413, in people whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) have returned or stopped responding to treatment. The main goals are to check safety and find the best dose. About 115 adults will take part in this first-in-human trial.
