Can simple neck exercises beat jaw splints for pain relief?

NCT ID NCT06707467

Summary

This study tested whether adding specific neck and posture exercises to standard jaw splint therapy works better for reducing pain and improving movement in people with jaw joint disorders. Fifty-seven adults with jaw pain were split into three groups: one used only a jaw splint, one used a splint plus Rocabado exercises, and one used a splint plus general postural exercises. Researchers measured pain levels, neck movement, and psychological well-being before and after two months of treatment to see which approach was most effective.
