Botox for broken jaws: new trial aims to ease pain and speed healing
NCT ID NCT07374341
Summary
This study is testing if injecting Botox into jaw muscles helps people with certain jaw fractures heal better. Doctors will use ultrasound to guide the Botox injections, aiming to relax the muscles so the broken bone can mend with less pain and better alignment. The trial will compare this new approach to standard care in a small group of 16 patients.
