Digital planning vs traditional method for jaw pain treatment
NCT ID NCT05362201
Summary
This study compared two methods for planning a jaw splint treatment for people with a specific jaw joint problem where the disc slips out of place but can pop back in. Twenty patients were randomly assigned to either get a splint planned using traditional methods or using a new digital planning approach that analyzes CT and MRI scans. Researchers measured jaw function, psychological factors, and joint changes over three months to see which method worked better.
