Pill could spare young women from liver surgery

NCT ID NCT06490757

Summary

This study is testing whether a short course of the drug baricitinib can shrink large, inflammatory benign liver tumors in young women. The goal is to see if this treatment can reduce tumor size enough to avoid the need for liver surgery, which carries risks and scarring. Researchers will monitor 25 participants using MRI scans over 6 months to measure tumor response.
