First test of new acid blocker begins in healthy volunteers

Summary
This is the first study in humans for a new drug called IY-828026, which is designed to reduce stomach acid. Researchers are testing it in healthy adult volunteers to see if it is safe, how the body processes it, and how well it works to lower stomach acid. The study will test different doses, some participants will get the drug and others will get a placebo or a standard acid-reducing medication for comparison.
