New hope for rare bile duct cancer: targeted combo trial launches

Summary
This study tests a new combination of drugs (ivosidenib, durvalumab, and chemotherapy) as a first treatment for people with advanced bile duct cancer that has a specific genetic change called an IDH1 mutation. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and works better than standard care. About 52 adults with inoperable or spread cancer will take part.
