Experimental nerve treatment offers hope for chronic pain sufferers

NCT ID NCT04153422

Summary

This study is testing whether intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) can help people with autoimmune small fiber neuropathy, a condition that causes chronic pain and nerve damage. Researchers will give 20 participants either IVIG or a placebo for six months to see if it reduces pain and helps nerves regrow. The goal is to find a better treatment option for this painful condition that currently has no standard cure.
