New blood disorder treatment aims to boost platelets fast

Summary
This study is testing a 5-day intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment for adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition where the immune system attacks platelets, increasing bleeding risk. The goal is to see if this treatment can safely and effectively raise patients' platelet counts within a week. The trial will involve about 36 participants and will monitor their response for about 3 months.
