Could immune drugs help women carry a pregnancy to term?

NCT ID NCT04701034

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of two immune-modifying drugs, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) and prednisolone, could help women who have experienced multiple unexplained miscarriages after fertility treatments like IVF. The goal was to see if this treatment could improve the chances of a successful pregnancy and live birth. Eighty women were randomly assigned to receive either the active drugs or a placebo during their next embryo transfer cycle.
