Could an IV infusion help people walk farther after polio?
NCT ID NCT02176863
Summary
This study tested whether a treatment called Flebogamma (an immune globulin IV infusion) could help people with post-polio syndrome walk farther and feel less pain. Researchers compared the treatment to a placebo in 191 participants over a year. The main goal was to see if the treatment improved how far people could walk in two minutes.
