Summary

This study tested a new eye gel called IVIEW-1201 in 135 people with acute adenoviral conjunctivitis (pink eye caused by a virus). The goal was to see if the gel could clear symptoms like redness and discharge faster than a placebo. The gel contains povidone-iodine, an antiseptic, in a gel form to keep it on the eye longer.
