New hope for IVF? drug trial aims to boost pregnancy and live birth rates

Summary
This study is testing whether a hormone medication called human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) can help women undergoing IVF treatment. The goal is to see if the drug helps produce more eggs, leads to more successful pregnancies, and ultimately results in more babies being born. About 660 women with infertility will be randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo during their IVF cycle.
