Scientists test 'Crystal Ball' for IVF embryos

NCT ID NCT05332769

Summary

This study is testing if a new, non-invasive lab measurement on cells surrounding a woman's eggs can predict which embryos created through IVF are most likely to result in a successful pregnancy and live birth. Researchers will measure energy activity in these 'cumulus' cells and see if embryos linked to cells with higher activity lead to better outcomes. The goal is to find a better way to select the single best embryo for transfer, potentially improving success rates for couples undergoing fertility treatment.
