Salt water IV tested as potential boost for POTS Patients' stamina

NCT ID NCT01000350

Summary

This study is testing whether giving an intravenous (IV) infusion of saline (salt water) can improve exercise capacity in people with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Researchers will compare exercise performance on a day when participants receive saline versus a day they receive a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple IV treatment can help ease a major symptom of POTS.
