IV iron trial aims to boost recovery in elderly heart patients

Summary
This study tests whether giving intravenous iron to older adults (70+) after heart surgery helps them recover from anemia and reduces disability three months later. About 310 participants will receive either IV iron or a placebo. The goal is to see if iron treatment improves daily functioning and quality of life.
