Doctors track Baby's blood flow to predict birth risks

NCT ID NCT07193381

Summary

This study aims to understand if tracking a specific blood vessel in a growth-restricted baby can help predict how healthy the baby will be after birth. Researchers will follow 81 pregnant women whose babies are smaller than expected, using a special ultrasound to measure blood flow several times in the third trimester. They will then see if these measurements are linked to the baby's condition at delivery, like needing intensive care.
