Birth control choice may affect C-Section scar healing
NCT ID NCT07264933
Summary
This study looked at whether using a copper IUD immediately after a first C-section, compared to starting birth control pills weeks later, affects how the uterine scar heals. It involved 750 first-time mothers who wanted postpartum contraception. Researchers used ultrasound scans at 3 and 6 months after birth to check for scar tissue formation in the uterus.
