Dermatologists create new rules for Anti-Aging acne drug

NCT ID NCT07296536

Summary

This study gathers expert dermatologists to create guidelines for using low-dose isotretinoin (traditionally an acne medication) for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. Fifteen experienced dermatologists will participate in multiple rounds of discussion to reach agreement on safe dosing, patient selection, and monitoring protocols. The goal is to establish practical recommendations for using this medication to improve skin texture, reduce pore size, and enhance overall skin quality beyond its traditional acne uses.
