First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looked at how long people with knee osteoarthritis should hold an isometric (static) muscle contraction to get the best results. Researchers tested different hold times in 127 adults aged 40-65 to see which improved pain, stiffness, and leg strength the most. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to manage symptoms and improve daily function.
