Could an iron boost make childhood vaccines work better?

NCT ID NCT06816524

Summary

This study aims to understand if iron deficiency weakens a baby's immune response to important malaria and measles vaccines. Researchers will give iron supplements to some iron-deficient infants in Kenya at the time of vaccination to see if it helps their bodies build stronger protection. The goal is to learn if treating iron deficiency could make routine childhood vaccines more effective.
