Iron pills: a hidden risk for blood sugar?
NCT ID NCT07315282
Summary
This study aims to understand how taking iron supplements affects blood sugar and insulin levels in overweight and obese women who have low iron. Researchers will give 70 women either a high or low dose of iron pills for two weeks. They will measure changes in blood sugar and insulin before, during, and after the supplement period to see if there is a connection.
