Summary

This study aimed to see if giving iron supplements to new mothers with iron deficiency anemia could improve their mood and the quality of their interactions with their babies. Researchers planned to follow mothers and infants from 6 weeks to 6 months after birth, comparing those who received iron to those who did not. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
