Dialysis anemia battle: High-Dose iron vs. standard care

NCT ID NCT06884280

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to manage anemia, a common and debilitating side effect of kidney failure, in people using peritoneal dialysis. It will compare a proactive, high-dose intravenous iron treatment against a standard, lower-dose approach (either IV or pills). Researchers will monitor 30 participants for a year to see which method better improves energy, quality of life, and reduces the need for blood transfusions.
