First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a new iron-based contrast agent (ferumoxytol) for MRI scans of vein diseases. Unlike standard gadolinium dyes, this iron injection lasts longer in the blood and is safer for people with kidney problems. Researchers will enroll 50 adults with suspected vein issues to find the lowest effective dose for clear imaging.
