First human tests begin for new epilepsy pill

NCT ID NCT06899230

Summary

This is a very early study to check if a new oral drug called iQ-007 is safe for people and how the body processes it. The study involves 72 healthy adult volunteers, not people with epilepsy. Researchers will give participants single or multiple doses and closely monitor them for any side effects. The goal is to gather basic safety information to see if the drug can move forward for testing in people with drug-resistant epilepsy.
